ON THE ARTS
with Gallerist Claes Nordenhake in Berlin
Galerie Nordenhake presents contemporary art in various media and with an international focus, exhibiting emerging, mid-career, and established artists. The gallery has exhibition spaces in Berlin and in Stockholm. In 1973 Claes Nordenhake opened his first gallery in Malmö, in the south of Sweden. A decade later, in 1986, the gallery moved to Stockholm where it found its new facilities in the prestigious building of The Royal Academy of Fine Arts. With the arrival of a new millennium the Gallery took yet another important step in its development by opening Galerie Nordenhake Berlin. With two operations going on simultaneously − in Berlin, as well as Stockholm − the gallery has perfected its trade mark exhibition policy: a well balanced mix of established names on the contemporary art scene, interspersed with new exciting artists from Sweden, Germany, and the United States. Meet Claes and what he has to say about the world of art.
